Full Name-
Tyler Simpson
Age-
17
Family (Deceased or Not)-
Father -Adam Simpson(Deceased) Mother- Abby Simpson (Deceased) Sister- Sarah Simpson (Deceased)
Description/ Playby (Eye color, hair color, hair style, height, weight, skin color, clothing stle)-
Tall and tan, Tyler is closely resembled by his playby. Some details you can't glean from the playby are his eyes are a shade of hazel brown. He stands a tall six foot 2 inch(in his boots) and weighs around 185, although that number will change based on his diet and how well he eats. Loose fit boot cut jeans are a go to for Tyler, while shirts seem to rotate frequently, depending on what he can get his hands on. For those cold nights he has a light, black and neon blue hoodie, but nothing heavier. While sleeping he owns no pj's so he either sleeps in his jeans with his black boots by his bed, ready to bolt if need be. Other accessories he wears include a silver necklace with a dagger on the end, this has no meaning to it other than he thought it looked cool, his silver class ring with a gemstone ruby in the center (the ring has his name, the year he received it , and his schools name on it) and lastly a second ring he wears on his opposite hand that had been passed down his family for a few generations (Gold, with a ruby center, and two small diamonds on opposite sides of the ruby).
(Playby- Steven McQueen)
Sexuality (Asexual, Homosexual, Bisexual, etc.): Straight
Personality (Traits, flaws, perks, hobbies, what they're good at/ bad at, etc.)
Before the outbreak, Tyler could of been anyone's best friend. Handsome, innocently charming, charismatic, he got along well with anyone and everyone. His motto has always been friends are better than enemies, and through that he tried to never insult or offend anyone if he could hep it. In school, he was considered witty if not a smart-ass. Teachers didn't mind because he achieved good grades and was at the towards the top of the class. Because of this he actually was able to get away with quite a lot. Whether it be missing homework or showing up late to class, he usually managed to get out of tough spots with a few clever words and a disarming smile. Tyler always had an idea of where the line was and had fun tip toeing along it, anything to make school more interesting. Tyler also had a brain for strategies. Chess was one of his favorite board games and he found many situations could be applied to life too. He found that the act of manipulating people, like you would when setting up to capture a piece in chess, was actually very simple, and he used this to his advantage, although mostly for small stuff- like someone buying him food or doing his homework. Although, he changed some with the death of his sister.
After his sister joined the ranks of the un-dead, Tyler went through somewhat of a psychological break down. After his period of mourning Tyler sought isolation. He didn't want to be around people or to grow close to anyone again, especially if there was a chance of losing them. He also became very un-sympathetic. If someone was in trouble, and Tyler could see that there was no hope in helping them, he would leave without thinking twice. Still, if he can see a way that he would benefit from helping someone, Tyler will; just don't expect him to become attached or stay long. As soon as you are no use to him anymore, he will leave without warning, set out to do his lone wolf stuff again. Ultimately, Tyler prefers to avoid survivor groups, and, unless you can prove to him that you are worth the possible pain, he won't stay long. The last quality worth mentioning is that Tyler is honorable. Help him, he will help you. If he makes a promise, he will uphold it to the best of his abilities. Just don't expect him to make those promises unless you truly deserve it.
History(What they did before the apocalypse, life growing up, reaction to the outbreak, how they survived the first week, etc.)
Before the apocalypse, Tyler was starting his senior year of high-school, played Tennis, football, and took MMA classes. He worked part time at Aeropostale and, over the summers as a life guard, at the community pool. His relationships with his family was mixed, for lack of a better word. His mother had died when he was four, due to some cancer he couldn't pronounce the name of at the time or even now, and since that dreadful day his father had been distant and cold. Something broke in his father then, where Adam only wanted to keep his children at a distance. He cared for them in all the legally right ways; fed them, gave them a home, and such, but what he failed at was actually loving them or even getting to know them. Anytime him or his sister would try to reach out to him over next decade and a half, he would snap at them, yell, slam doors, and that usually ended the conversation. Over time, the Tyler and Sarah just got used to it, and eventually ignored him and lived their life the way they wanted to. Him and his sister also grew close during this time. With no one to support them, they ended up relying on each other and forming a truly special connection. Tyler never realized how important that connection was until the dead woke up.
Tyler was downstairs in the living room, playing Xbox at the time it all started. His sister was in the kitchen, grabbing something to eat, when something stumbled down the stairs. Too preoccupied to notice, Tyler didn't look up until his sister screamed a blood curdling screamed. Jumping to his feet, the site in front of him appalled him to no end. There father had been zombified in all its glory. Grabbing Sarah, her and Tyler sprinted out of the house and left, hoping to find help. They soon realize that this wasn't an isolated occasion and took shelter with one of the survivor groups hiding in a motel at the edge of town. Resting here, the peace didn't last long when the Zombies managed to break in there too. It was a slaughter. Then one took a bite of Sarah. There was nothing Tyler could do. They swarmed her and he couldn't reach her. With the only sensible thing to do be leaving, Tyler took off, heart broken. From this experience his distrust of survivor groups grew and he eventually made it to the apartments where he now inhabits.
